Happy St. Patrick's Day!

A Toast from Ireland:
May you be poor in misfortune
Rich in blessings
Slow to make enemies
Quick to make friends
But rich or poor,
Quick or slow,
May you know nothing but happiness
From this day forward

There's a dear little plant
that grows in our isle,
'Twas St. Patrick himself
sure that set it;
And the sun on his labour
with pleasure did smile,
And with dew from his eye
often wet it.
It thrives through the bog,
through the brake,
through the mireland;
And he called it the dear
little shamrock of Ireland—
The sweet little shamrock,
the dear little shamrock,
The sweet little, green little,
shamrock of Ireland!
Andrew Cherry,
Irish Playwright (1762-1812)

Sure, it's a good day t' be Irish
Being as it is, St. Patty's Day
Be proud of yer' Irish blood
And drink gallons of Guiness today

Today is St. Patrick's Day,
Do you have the luck of the Irish?
Well you need to get a lucky charm,
And make a great big wish.
It's the time to eat corned beef and cabbage,
And also drink green beer,
And raise our glasses in a toast,
And bring in alot of cheer.
So don't forget when you go out,
To wear green by the way,
Then you can join all of the rest,
And have a great St. Patrick's Day!
