Thursday Pinterests

Spring is finally here!
Nebraska has been lucky enough to have some extremely unusual weather too.
Normally, it is still rather chilly and we have been known to get snow late into April.

It is so unusual, that we have been able to let our kids run through the sprinkler in the front yard.
My husband has already mowed the lawn twice.
Flips flops are my every day footwear.
Everything is in bloom and green!

This is simple enough!

I think this is so adorable!
Pretty simple to make too!

I would love to have this on our mantle...
Oh wait, we don't have a mantle.
Guess I'll have to wait on that!

Thursday Pinterests

I have a severe addiction to Pinterest.
If there were a Pinterest Anonymous, I would probably be the first one to join.
Granted, I don't "pin" something on a daily basis, but when I am on a roll...
I especially like to look at fashion.
What can I say, I wear scrubs to work and jammies pretty much all the rest of the time.
Pinning fashion makes me feel like I am at least putting forth an effort.
I am, really!
Eventually, I will make some of those "pins" come true. *wink* *wink*

Today's pins are my inspiration outfits for summer!

Seriously! What's not to love?!?

All this needs is a cropped denim jacket.

Not so much the blazer/jacket though.

This will be my outfit for Independence Day this year!

With "threads" like these, I would get up and get dressed in real clothes every day.
Not stay in my jammies!

I would totally wear this to church!
Fun yet sophisticated...

Back to my country girl roots.
Maybe for our trip to Texas later this year!

Just Around the Corner

This is sort of what it looks like in our neck of the woods right now.
Before this last big snow storm of 13 inches, our tulips were starting to peek through the ground.
Can you believe that?
It is January and the tulips decided to start coming up out of their winter hibernation!
That is an obvious sign that winter in Nebraska HAD been rather mild.
Hopefully, it will continue to be mild and Spring will bear itself very soon.

Spring is my most favorite season!
To me, it means a new beginning...

All of the trees budding,
Flowers blooming,
and
Daily visits to our bird feeder from the pretty (and plentiful) Robins
(which seem to enjoy tormenting our "bird dog").

Yes, I am so ready for Spring to arrive! I can barely contain myself.
The only problem with the arrival of Spring is that I am not going to want to be cooped up in front of my sewing machine. Guess I will have to designate 2 days a week to sewing for the shop and making things for around the house.

I really need to get some Pinterest DIY's done, but then again, I will more than likely procrastinate.

Oh well...

BRING ON SPRING!!!

Thursday Pinterests

Looking for lots and lots of different winter and holiday decor.
I like to decorate for the holidays with things that can be used all season.
There are so many ideas out there, it has been hard to choose just a few things.

home-made window clings

I love snowmen!

Pinned Image
So pretty for decorating the hearth.

Pinned Image
These would be cute as fridge magnets.
The kids could design their own snowmen on the fridge.

Super cute pillows... The stuff in the basket is cute too!

Thursday Pinterest's

I have always enjoyed the Autumn season.
There are so many beautiful warm colors outside.
Sadly, I am a slacker when it comes to bringing those colors into my home.

This year however, I am going to sit my butt hiney rear-end down and actually get some crafting done for my home. I love pumpkins and pretty fall colored leaves.
About a year ago I even bought the letters F-A-L-L in that paper mache stuff (you know, like the boxes). Of course, I haven't done anything with them - yet!

So without further adu, here are some of my Autumn "pins"...

Pinned Image
I actually have all of the supplies for these pumpkins sitting on my kitchen counter!
Just gotta get them made.

I just wish we had a front porch this big!

I need an Autumn wreath for the front door.

Love these, but imagine them in oranges, browns, and creams...

Happy Fall Y'All!!!

Thursday Lovelies

What could be better than decorating your house for Spring?

Check out some of these lovelies!

I absolutely love this blue and brown together
I wish our house had a more neutral decor so I could do this kind of stuff!

What a wonderful idea for the front door.

Very simple, yet effective as a centerpiece!

Absolutely gorgeous to put on a side table...
...or above our cabinets in our kitchen...
hmmm...

So refreshing...ahhhhh
Too bad it would be stained within minutes in our house.
Slobbery boxer dog - likes to sleep with "mom" when "dad" is gone.  ;-)

The only season that I ever really seem to decorate for is Winter.
I HATE (with a passion) Winter, so why am I not decorating for Spring?
The answer to that is this...
I can't ever seem to find Spring decorations that fit into our current decor!

We have more of a vintner or wine theme going on in our house right now.
It is becoming more and more rustic vintner, but still more Tuscany vintner at the current time.
Once we have everything done around our wood burning stove, then I will probably be more likely to go with seasonal decorations that fit the more rustic theme.
Until then, I will just stick with not decorating for the seasons, except for the front door.

How about you? Do you decorate for the seasons?

Thursday Lovelies

Maybe I am jumping the gun a little bit, but I am so sick and tired of winter, cold, and snow, that I had to do something to daydream about the coming (hopefully soon) Spring season.  Just thinking about Spring warms me up inside!  Hope it does the same for you too!

Thursday Lovelies (2)

My beautiful family decorating our Christmas tree.
I don't think I tell my mom enough how much I love her and how much she inspires me to be the best mom I can be.  Thank you Mom, for always being here to support me!  I LOVE YOU more than words can say!

I love Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter...in photos!  hehehe
Summer can be much too hot for my liking where we live and Winter is way too unpredictable.  Spring and Fall are my two favorite seasons because they are so colorful.  The temperature is usually pretty nice too!

Those are my Thursday Lovelies for this week.  I would love to know what your lovelies are too!

Have a lovely weekend!
