Thursday Pinterests

So sorry for the "hiccup" in posts.
I have been a busy beaver trying to get some special orders made.
Now I am finished with those special orders and ready to start gettting my "posts on".

A little spring fun for all y'all...

Thursday Pinterests

I have a severe addiction to Pinterest.
If there were a Pinterest Anonymous, I would probably be the first one to join.
Granted, I don't "pin" something on a daily basis, but when I am on a roll...
I especially like to look at fashion.
What can I say, I wear scrubs to work and jammies pretty much all the rest of the time.
Pinning fashion makes me feel like I am at least putting forth an effort.
I am, really!
Eventually, I will make some of those "pins" come true. *wink* *wink*

Today's pins are my inspiration outfits for summer!

Seriously! What's not to love?!?

All this needs is a cropped denim jacket.

Not so much the blazer/jacket though.

This will be my outfit for Independence Day this year!

With "threads" like these, I would get up and get dressed in real clothes every day.
Not stay in my jammies!

I would totally wear this to church!
Fun yet sophisticated...

Back to my country girl roots.
Maybe for our trip to Texas later this year!

Thursday Pinterests

Never in a "million years" would I say my style is
ALL THAT!
I do however love clothing, shoes, and accessories.
Recently, I came across a gal that must totally love fashion, because she will come up with outfits on a website called Polyvore.
Almost all of the outfits she puts together are "fashioned" after Disney characters.
When I say Disney characters, I mean ANY disney character!
She has one that she made for the Door Knob in Alice In Wonderland.
You should really check out her stuff! She has so many, it is hard to choose just a couple favorites!

These are just a few of the outfits I have pinned...

Thursday Pinterests

Today I had to do a new fashion post!
Ever since my husband was asked to be in one of his buddy's wedding in 2012, I have been trying to figure out what I will wear so I will look good next to him in his tuxedo.

I found the perfect outfit!

Now, I will just have to find all of the pieces!

On to some other fashion ideas I am totally in love with!

April Creativity...

These are such pretty fabrics, I wonder what they will be?
The lavender, yellow and black are lining fabrics.
The red is velvet, the gray is a suiting, and the kakhi is sort of a linen.

What do you think?
I made this on Friday as a b-day gift to myself.
I am going to making a number of them, so I have inventory for my future Etsy store!
The red velvet one with black lining is going to be so gorgeous!
The only thing I'm gonna have to do is figure out how to make the back part elastic.
That way they are "one size" and you all wouldn't have to worry about it not fitting your noggins!
I made mine to fit my head, but that's only because I had access to my head to measure it!

Never in a million years did I think I would be able to pull off wearing this baby.
I think it actually looks pretty doggone good!
Now I have a reason to grow out my hair instead of cutting it all off again.
On me, this will definitely look better with longer hair!

Tumblr_lj8vlnbege1qhxofzo1_500_large

I'm not usually one to do this kind of thing, but I will totally do anything to better my chances of winning!
What a Fan-tab-u-lous birthday gift this would be for myself - if I won it that is!  :-)

My girl Lindsay over and Scenic Glory is having a give-a-way for a $75 gift certificate to Modcloth.
Yes you read that right...

$75.00

If you have never been to the site, you totally have to check it out!

While you are over at Scenic Glory, check it out and stay a while.
That girl is totally talented!

Thursday Lovelies

Today's Lovelies are actually a "Wish List" of mine...
Maybe if some of my family are reading,
the hints will be taken for future birthday or whenever gifts! ;-)

Love you FAMILY!!!

I am not sure when I decided yellow was going to be a color that I'd love, but I have to say, I am loving yellow for spring and summer this year!

30 for 30 Remix Challenge

Starting March 1st, I will be participating in a fabulous challenge to "remix" my current wardrobe.  Myself and a few other lovely ladies are taking on the 30 for 30 Remix Challenge created by the wonderful Kendi. If you click on her name, you can read all about it...heck! You could participate right along with us too!

Also starting on March 1st, I will be starting a new blog specifically dedicated to fashion. I thought about just using this current blog for the challenge and beyond, but I didn't want to structure this blog so much. Here I will continue with my "normal" posts and anything dedicated to fashion and style I will post on the other blog.

What is the name of the blog?

I am so glad you asked, From the Fitting Room. The design is so beautiful and I am sure you can guess who designed it for me...Lindsay. She is so talented.  Go check the new blog out, follow me, and then go check out Lindsay's lovely world at Scenic Glory.

If you check out the new blog today, you won't find much...DON'T let it discourage you! I really wanna see you over there. It is going to be so much fun. I think in the process of the 30 for 30 challenge, I will also be getting my hubby to do a few improvements to our large walk-in closet.  I love the picture of the dressing room that is in the banner on From the Fitting Room.

Well, I am off to take pictures of my crazy messy closet and dresser drawers.  See you all soon!

My Weekend (ok, Sunday) Creations

Have I mentioned I have a ton of fabric that I need to use up?

Well, last week, I decided I wanted to try to design a purse and put it together so that it was much more sturdy than some of the other shoulder bags I have made before.  Anyway, I have this really great brown/green fabric that is a heavier weight and I thought it would make a super cute purse, so with a little heavy-weight fusible interfacing, an iron, my sewing machine, and literally some sweat, the following was created.  Next time I won't use the stuff I used to hold the brown fabric on the handle, because it made a dark lne down the center.  I don't mind, I made this one for me!  I didn't take a picture of the inside, but it is fully lined and has a pocket.

Also on the agenda for sewing Sunday were the following two items.  The book-type item is actually a great way to get organized for shopping - grocery shopping in particular.  It is a shopping list and coupon organizer (too bad I don't ever use coupons)!  I cannot take the  credit on this one though...I found the idea and "how to" here.  The pocket next to the pen is for a note pad that I didn't have at the time I took the pictures (I have since purchased the note pad for it).  The other item is of course a coffee cup cozie.

Isn't this fabric super cute?

I love all three items and started carrying them around yesterday.  Now I need to get more of the fabric for the cozie and organizer so I can make a coin purse and checkbook cover.  Then I will have a matching set for the inside of my purse!

My-oh-my, I L-O-V-E being creative!!!
I'm thinking a set of these or the purse would be great for the Craft Swap over here.

Happy Tuesday!
Beth
